Jamie's April Pick: Remain by Nicholas Sparks with M. Night Shyamalan

I have read every book by Nicholas Sparks and when Remain was announced with M. Night Shyamalan, I was curious as to how two completely different authors, with different pasts, in wildly different genres, could collaborate together on a "supernatural love story."

Nicholas Sparks sets the vast majority of his bestselling romance novels in North Carolina and right from the first chapter, Remain pulled me in and didn't let go. I found myself swept up in the gorgeous Cape Cod setting, the emotional twists, and that little touch of spooky suspense that kept me curious the whole time. It's the kind of story that feels both warm and a little eerie in the best way.

Remain was beautiful, emotional, magical, heart-breaking, powerful, inspiring, and mystical. This is NOT your typical Nicholas Sparks romance, but it's a novel that grapples with the supernatural mysteries of life, human connection, and death.
